Due to the National Weather Service issuing an Extreme Cold Warning and forecasting wind chills with sub-zero temperatures for Friday morning, all School District 123 school buildings will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026, and School District 123 will be exercising an Emergency eLearning Day.

The National Weather Service has forecasted temperatures will reach well below zero (-8), with a windchill of (-30). With the bitterly cold forecasted conditions, we do not want to risk the safety of District 123 students, families, or staff traveling to any of our schools via bus or other means during the morning hours.

eLearning information and a schedule for the day will arrive from your child’s school principal and teacher by 9:00AM on January 23, 2026.
