Annual Golf Outing Drives Community Engagement and Innovation

The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Education Foundation’s annual golf outing was a swinging success with 75 registered golfers hitting the greens in support of learning on June 18 at the Odyssey Gold Course in Tinley Park. This event emphasized the District 123 learning community's passion for supporting local education.

Participants enjoyed more than just a round of golf. A silent auction and raffle featuring highly anticipated prizes—including tickets to major sporting events and gift cards to favorite local restaurants—added excitement to the day and played a key role in raising funds for innovative educational programs.

Founded in 1991, the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Its primary goal is to attract private funds to enrich and extend learning experiences for students, going beyond the confines of traditional curricula.

Events like the golf outing not only generate vital resources for student learning but also strengthen the connection between the District and the Oak Lawn and Hometown communities. With every swing, putt, and bid, participants helped tee up a brighter future for students districtwide.
