Earlier this week District 123 Special Education Assistive Tech Specialist, Janet Kennedy, presented at the National Educational Assistive Technology Conference on “Closing the Gap” in Minnesota. Kennedy’s presentation “4 Essential AT Supports for Struggling Readers.”

“I am passionate about the potential of technology to make a difference in the education and lives of students who have disabilities and wanted to share my knowledge and experiences with the larger AT community as a whole,” said Kennedy about her passion for the topic.

Closing The Gap was founded in 1982 by Budd and Dolores Hagen, parents of a child with a disability.
