During the March 18th, Board of Education meeting, the 2019-2020 D123 academic school calendar was approved. Some highlights from the calendar include:
- The school year will start with two days of teacher’s institutes; August 19th and 20th.
- The first day of student attendance will be Wednesday, August 21st and will be a half day from 8:30-11:30 am.
- Fall Family Conferences will take place on October 17th & 18th.
- Students will be out of school November 25-29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Winter break will start on Friday, December 20th at 3:20 pm and students will return January 6th, 2020 at 8:30 am.
- Spring Family Conferences will take place on February 20th & 21st.
- Spring break will start on; March 20th at 3:20 pm and students will return on March 30th at 8:30 am.
- The last scheduled student attendance day is June 4th, 2020 from 8:30am to 11:30 am.
- However, given the unpredictable nature of Illinois weather, there are five emergency days scheduled for June 5-11, 2020.
