During the January 23rd Board of Education meeting, the 2023-2024 D123 academic school calendar was approved. Some highlights from the calendar include:
- The school year will start with two days of staff institutes; August 21 and 22.
- The first day of student attendance will be Wednesday, August 23rd and will be a half day from 8:30-11:30 am.
- Fall Family Conferences will take place on October 12th & 13th.
- Students will be out of school November 20-24 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Students will not be in attendance for Winter break beginning on Monday, December 25th and students will return Monday, January 8th, 2024 at 8:30 am.
- Spring Family Conferences will take place on February 22nd & 23rd.
- Spring break will start on March 25th and students will return on April 2nd at 8:30 am.
- The last scheduled student attendance day is June 5th, 2024 from 8:30am to 11:30 am.
- However, given the unpredictable nature of Illinois weather, there are five emergency days scheduled for June 6-12, 2024.
