Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 invites all aspiring educators and support staff to its upcoming Job Fair on Tuesday, May 30th. The event, which will run from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, will take place at the District Office at 4201 W. 93rd St., Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
The district seeks to fill various roles for the 2023-2024 school year, including classroom teachers, special educators, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, substitute custodians, educational support staff, and bus drivers. The job fair will provide an opportunity for interested applicants to gain more information about specific roles, get to know the district's culture, and conduct initial screening interviews.
To streamline the hiring process, the district offers immediate on-site interviews for all positions, with accelerated hiring timelines for bus drivers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, special educators, and substitute custodians.
District 123 encourages all community members to help spread the word about the upcoming Job Fair.
"A large number of our existing staff members have ties to the southern suburbs, with a significant portion residing within the boundaries of our school district itself. We warmly invite our entire learning community - including staff, parents, and families - to participate in our efforts to hire the best staff and help advertise our Job Fair on May 30th. We want to spread awareness about the variety of employment opportunities available within our school district and get the word out," said Leo Cassidy, Director of Operations.
