The annual Community Leaf Raking Day took place on Saturday, November 16th. Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 was pleased to host about 90 volunteers who raked about 60 yards.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered for this community event. The Leaf Raking Day is a key element of the District’s outreach to senior citizens, veterans, and those in our community who struggle with this annual physical task. This year, D123 will once again be repurposing the bags of leaves to support the composting program at the Oak Lawn Community Garden.
