We are incredibly proud to share that Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 has been recognized as a top communicator in Illinois, earning nine awards at the 2025 INSPRA Communications Award Ceremony! This achievement reflects our strong commitment to transparency, open two-way communication, and the Strategic Framework’s goal of fostering Family and Community Partnerships.
Over 200 submissions of work from school districts across Illinois were submitted to the contest, but only the best of the best received awards. A national panel of communication professionals judged every entry using a rigorous rubric, making each win a true mark of excellence.
These recognitions highlight the power of clear, creative, and audience-centered storytelling. Great communication helps strengthen family partnerships, celebrate the accomplishments of our students and staff, and share the vibrant story of District 123 across multiple platforms.
Below is a list of recognized communication efforts and links to check out the award-winning work produced by the D123 Communications team. The recognitions include the Award of Excellence, the highest achievement awarded by INSPRA, the Award of Merit, and Honorable Mentions.
Congratulations to our communications team for this achievement and their hard work and dedication to telling our District 123 story.
