During the February 23 Board of Education meeting, the 2026-2027 D123 academic school calendar was approved. Some highlights from the calendar include:
- The school year will start with two days of staff institute days; August 17 and 18.
- The first day of student attendance will be Wednesday, August 19, and will be a half day from 8:30-11:30 AM.
- Fall Family Conferences will take place on October 8 & 9.
- There will be no student attendance from November 23 to 27, for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Students will not be in attendance for Winter Break beginning on Monday, December 21, and students will return on Monday, January 4, 2027, at 8:30 AM.
- Spring Family Conferences will take place on February 11 & 12.
- Spring Break will start on March 26 and students will return on April 7 at 8:30 AM.
- The last scheduled student attendance day is June 4, 2027, from 8:30-11:30 AM.
- However, given the unpredictable nature of Illinois weather, there are five emergency days scheduled for June 7-11, 2027.
